For more information about the forties night, click here

On Mothering Sunday (26th March) we will be having a joint service with all the Church together at 10.15am.  The service will finish at about 11 and there will be a series of short meetings.  The first will be to elect new Churchwardens, we need two this year.  The second will be to elect members of the PCC and then to look at the annual report and accounts.  The whole thing will take around 30 minutes, so we’ll be finished before your Mother’s Day Lunch, promise!

An Evening with Jamie Jones-Buchanan

We’re hosting an event with life stories at lunch Yorkshire on the 21st February.

Jamie Jones-Buchanan, who plays for Leeds Rhinos is coming to St Peter’s for the evening.  After the coffee and tea, sports psychologist Steve Turnbull will interview Jamie about his life, sport and his faith.  There will be opportunity to ask questions and afterwards for photos and so on.

The best thing is the evening is FREE and no tickets are required.  Come along and meet Jamie and hear his story.

Remembrance Sunday at St Peter’s

Poppies in Flanders

This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday.  Come and remember with us at St Peter’s.

Our 9.30 service will be held with the Royal British Legion, with a collection for the Poppy Appeal.  Following this service the parade will make it’s way to St Philip and St James New Bentley for an act of remembrance at 11am.

Our 11am service will start earlier, at 10.55am so that we can observe the silence at 11am too.

At 12noon, the parade returns to St Peter’s and soup and refreshments will be served in the Church Hall.

Finally at 4pm, there will be a short service of Holy Communion for any who would like it at St Peter’s.

Come and join with us as we remember those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Lots happening at St Peter’s tomorrow

Good Morning!

There’s loads going on at St Peter’s tomorrow morning.

There are two services tomorrow morning, one at 9.30 (traditional) and one at 11am (informal).  We are hugely blessed to have The Archdeacon of Doncaster (The Venerable Steve Wilcockson) is joining us at both services and he will be preaching for us.

After the second service we’re having a joint lunch and light party in the Community Hall.

The most important thing though, is to remember to put your clocks back an hour, or you’ll be VERY early for everything!

See you tomorrow!

Light Lunch and Party

Exciting News!  We’re having a light party (with lunch) on the 30th October at 12noon.  Everyone is welcome, there will be food and socialising and games for the children.  Come along and join in!

So we can get the right number of games on the go, please let us know if you’re coming by letting us know on Facebook, or ringing 01302 876272 and leaving us a message, ideally by the 23rd October.

Thanks and see you there!
