This week’s news and updates…

This week, Morning Prayer at 9am and Evening Prayer at 4.15pm every day except Friday.

Holy Communion on Tuesday at 7pm followed by PCC.

Next Sunday (24 May), Parish Eucharist at 9.30am and st peter’s together at 11am.

The Church Picnic is happening on Sunday 24th (that’s this coming Sunday) at 12noon in the Vicarage garden.  Bring something to eat and drink and something to sit on.  It’s a great chance to bring family and friends who are a little bit nervous of church.  We have a bouncy castle coming too!  It will all go ahead even if it rains (we’ll go inside and find space!)

Advance Notice: Thurnscoe Harmonic Male Voice Choir are coming to St Peter’s for a concert at 7pm on the 6th June 2015. Tickets on the door £6 for adults, £3 for everyone else.

This week’s news and updates…

Morning Prayer every morning except Friday at 9am. Holy Communion on Tuesday at 7pm. As part of the ten days of prayer for mission, on Thursday and Saturday there will be Evening Prayer at 4.15pm.

Thursday is Ascension Day, there will be a special service at Sprotborough Church at 7.30pm.

Next Sunday (17 May), Parish Eucharist at 9.30am and st peter’s together at 11am. Also two baptisms, please pray for the families.

General Election! (and local elections)

Polling Station

Please remember to go and vote today.  If you’re not sure who to vote for, use votematch.org, answer some questions and they will help you decide!

The Polling stations are open until 10pm.  If you’ve lost your polling card, that’s no biggie, you don’t need it!

Finally, it has been announced that The Revd Amanda Barraclough,  Vicar of St Mary’s, Woodkirk, in the Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales,  has been appointed Rector of St Mary’s Sprotbrough and Area Dean of Adwick-le-Steet.  As soon as we have details of her collation, we’ll pass them on.

Palm Sunday

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. We will meet in the Community Hall at 9.15 for the blessing of the palms and the Palm Gospel before we make our way into church. Don’t forget, the clocks go forward on Saturday night, so there are double chances of being late!
