What’s coming up this week?  When are you coming to join us?

Sunday 24th June:  This week we have our usual services at 9.30am (traditional) and 4pm (informal with activities for children).  We will be discovering how to find love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  If you need more of those, come join us, none of our services clash with the footy 😉

Monday 25th:

Tuesday 26th: Little Fishes from 9-10.45am in the Community Hall.

Wednesday 27th: Coffee in the Carpark 8.45-9.15am, Church Prayer Meeting, 7.30pm in the Church.

Thursday 28th:

Friday 29th:  Morning Prayer in church at 9am.  It’s St Peter’s Day and we’ll be celebrating in the evening at 7.30pm with a communion service.  Our guest preacher is Revd. Amanda Barraclough.  Tea and cake afterwards!

Saturday 30th:

Sunday 1st July:  Normal service at 9.30am (traditional).  Strawberry Tea (tickets £4) at 3p, followed by church in the garden around 4pm/4.15pm (informal with activities for children).    You don’t have to come to Strawberry Tea to come to church!

What’s coming up this week?  Will you be changing your plans?

Sunday 17th May:  This week we have our usual services at 9.30am (traditional) and 4pm (informal with activities for children).  We will be thinking about how the Holy Spirit brings us power to bring God’s Kingdom in our every day lives.

Monday 18th:

Tuesday 19th: Little Fishes from 9-10.45am in the Community Hall.  PCC, 7.15 for a 7.30pm start at the Vicarage.

Wednesday 20th: Coffee in the Carpark 8.45-9.15am, Connect Group 7.30 for an 8pm start at the Vicarage.

Thursday 21st:

Friday 22nd:  Morning Prayer in church at 9am.  20 minutes to focus on God and ask for His help for the day.

Saturday 23rd:  Howard Scarborough Memorial Concert given by the Doncaster Schools Vermuyden Concert Band, 6pm, tickets on the door £5.

Sunday 24th:  Normal services at 9.30am (traditional) and 4pm (informal with activities for children).  Come join in!

It’s half term which means a quieter week at St Peter’s, here’s a look at what’s coming down the tracks this week.

Sunday 27th MayThere is no service at 9.30 this Sunday morning.  Instead, we invite you to come to St Mary’s, Sprotbrough at 10.15 instead.  At 4pm we will be welcoming people from Sprotbrough to join us as we launch our Mission Partnership.  There will be cake and tea after the service.

Monday 28th May: Bank Holiday – enjoy!

Tuesday 29th May:

Wednesday 30th May: Connect Group Social, venue tbc.

Thursday 31st May:

Friday 1st June:  Morning Prayer in church at 9am.  20 minutes to focus on God and ask for His help for the day.

Saturday 2nd June:

Sunday 3rd June:  We are back to our normal services.  9.30am traditional and 4pm informal with activities for children.  Come join in!

Here’s what’s happening this week – come on and join in!

Tuesday 1st May: Little Fishes from 9ish til 10.45.  For all under reception age.  Play, sensory activities, drinks, snacks, songtime.  £1 per family per session.

Our new Churchwarden, Karen, will be sworn in at Sheffield Cathedral this evening.  The service starts at 7.30pm.

Wednesday 2nd May: Coffee in the carpark.  Grab a free tea or coffee from us in the church carpark between 8.45 and 9.15.  Hang around and chat to us, or grab one and go.

Morning prayer in church after coffee in the carpark.  20 minutes to refocus on God and offer the day to Him.

Connect Group at the Vicarage, 7.30pm for and 8pm start.

Thursday 3rd May:  There are elections today for a Sheffield City Region mayor.  It’s important as Christians to engage with civil society.  If you’re registered to vote, it’s important you exercise your rights.  Even if you go to spoil your ballot paper, please make the effort to join in with democracy today!

Friday 4th May:  Morning Prayer in church at 9am.  20 minutes to focus on God and ask for His help for the day.

Saturday 5th May:

Sunday 6th May: Church, traditional at 9.30am and at 4pm, informal with activities for children.

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are calling people to pray between Ascension day and Pentecost, the 10-20th May 2018.  We want to join in at St Peter’s.  Keep an eye out for materials to help us.

In particular they are calling us to pray for five people who don’t know Jesus, that they would get to know Him.  We’ve got some resources to help with that.

Church Prayer Meeting

This week is our Church prayer meeting.  It’s tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30pm in church.  We usually pray for about an hour, but don’t worry we do different things and it’s not boring!  We believe that when we pray things happen and we’re confident that we’ll see God at work amongst us as we pray together tonight.

Sunday 11th March: It’s mothering Sunday today and we have services at 9.30am (traditional) and 11am (informal with activities for children)

Tuesday 13th March: Little Fishes from 9ish til 10.45.  For all under reception age.  Play, sensory activities, drinks, snacks, songtime.  £1 per family per session.

Lunch (noon) and Communion (12.45pm) in church.  All are welcome!

Wednesday 14th March: Coffee in the carpark.  Grab a free tea or coffee from us in the church carpark between 8.45 and 9.15.  Hang around and chat to us, or grab one and go.

Morning prayer in church after coffee in the carpark.  20 minutes to refocus on God and offer the day to Him.

Connect at the Vicarage, 7.30pm for coffee and chat for an 8pm start.

Thursday 15th March:  If you’re already doing Alpha, it carries on this evening.

Friday 16th March:  Morning Prayer in church at 9am.  20 minutes to focus on God and ask for His help for the day.

Saturday 17th March:  We have re-arranged the skip for this morning, so bring some gloves and come and help clear the area behind church.  We’re promised some sausages for the workers too!

Sunday 18th March: Church at 9.30am (traditional).  It’s our last ever 11am today followed by a bring and share parish lunch for everyone.  From the 25th our new service times are 9.30am and 4pm!!

This week has much to commend it and hopefully the weather will be a little bit more springlike!

Sunday 4th March: With services at 9.30am (traditional) and 11am (informal with activities for children) there’s never a better time to join in with the family than this Sunday.  Our prayer is that every week we leave church having met with Jesus and ready to face the week ahead…

Wednesday 7th March: Coffee in the carpark.  Grab a free tea or coffee from us in the church carpark between 8.45 and 9.15.  Hang around and chat to us, or grab one and go.  We were there in the snow this Wednesday and whatever the weather throws at us next week we’ll be there!

Connect returns to the Vicarage, 7.30pm for coffee and chat for an 8pm start.

Thursday 8th March:  If you’re already doing Alpha, it carries on this evening.

Friday 9th March:  Morning Prayer in church at 9am.  20 minutes to focus on God and ask for His help for the day.

Saturday 10th March:  Nothing much is happening today.  Enjoy!

Sunday 11th March: Church again, and it’s Mothering Sunday.  9.30am traditional and 11am informal with activities for children.  Gifts for the ladies at both services.

Saturday 3rd Mar: We have a skip coming so we can clear the area around the shed at the back of church.  Come and help us get it cleared up from 10am.
