Parties

Posted in Stuff

Did you know you can rent St Peter’s Community Hall for a party?

The hall is available most Saturdays and we charge £45 for a three hours.  Most people have a party for two hours and use the rest of the time to set up and pack away.

If you’d like to book a party at St Peter’s Community Hall, speak to Jan, our Hall Bookings Secretary on Doncaster 788892.

Electoral Roll

Posted in Stuff

Every Church of England church has a Parochial Church Council (or PCC) which is responsible for running it.  PCC members are elected for three years at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM).  The next APCM is on the 22nd April, so in preparation we are required to tidy up our electoral roll.

The electoral roll is the closest thing we have at church to a membership list.  To sign up you need to be baptised and declare yourself a member of the Church of England.  If you live in our parish that’s all there is to it.  If you live in another parish, you have to have been worshipping at St Peter’s for at least six months regularly (let’s say at least once a month).

You’ve got until the 18th March to get your name on the list, so if you want to sign up, pick up a form on Sunday!

Naturally Supernatural

At St Peter’s we want to get better at listening to God and seeing Him at work in our lives and in Bentley.  One place The Vicarages have really learning about this is Soul Survivor.  Soul Survivor is a youth camp that attracts tens of thousands of young people each summer, but last year they started a family/grown up version called naturally supernatural.  The Vicarages went last year and we’re going again this summer.  This video gives you a flavour of what goes on there.  If you want to book on, speak to Dave or Catherine…
