Our harvest festival is on Sunday 1st October 2017. You can come for a traditional service at 9.30 or a more informal celebration at 11am. Please bring with you something you’ve grown yourself, or something in a tin or packet we can pass on to the Doncaster Foodbank. See you then!
This Sunday (13th August) after our 11am service we’re having a bbq in the Vicarage garden. We’ll provide the sausages and bread, you bring salads, drinks and puddings!
See you there!
This Sunday is our Pentecost Picnic in the Vicarage garden at 12noon, straight after the 11am service. There will be a bouncy castle and tea, coffee and squash will be provided. Bring something to eat and something to sit on and wine or beer if that’s what you want to drink…
But before that we have our Church Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm. We’ll be using the second session of the Prayer Course and then praying together. It would be great to see you there!
We’ve got lots of great events coming up too. A St Peter’s Day service on the 29th June, The Howard Scarborough Memorial Concert on the 1st July, Strawberry Tea on the 2nd July, we’ll be at Bentley Bonanza on the 9th July and the 15th July is our Bond Ball! Phew! Get the dates in your diary and come along and enjoy yourselves.
A quick reminder that today (Thursday 4th May, 2017) there are council and mayoral elections in Doncaster. It’s important that you use your vote. Who are representatives are DOES make a difference, so please make your voice heard today.

This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday. Come and remember with us at St Peter’s.
Our 9.30 service will be held with the Royal British Legion, with a collection for the Poppy Appeal. Following this service the parade will make it’s way to St Philip and St James New Bentley for an act of remembrance at 11am.
Our 11am service will start earlier, at 10.55am so that we can observe the silence at 11am too.
At 12noon, the parade returns to St Peter’s and soup and refreshments will be served in the Church Hall.
Finally at 4pm, there will be a short service of Holy Communion for any who would like it at St Peter’s.
Come and join with us as we remember those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
There’s loads going on at St Peter’s tomorrow morning.
There are two services tomorrow morning, one at 9.30 (traditional) and one at 11am (informal). We are hugely blessed to have The Archdeacon of Doncaster (The Venerable Steve Wilcockson) is joining us at both services and he will be preaching for us.
After the second service we’re having a joint lunch and light party in the Community Hall.
The most important thing though, is to remember to put your clocks back an hour, or you’ll be VERY early for everything!
See you tomorrow!
Exciting News! We’re having a light party (with lunch) on the 30th October at 12noon. Everyone is welcome, there will be food and socialising and games for the children. Come along and join in!
So we can get the right number of games on the go, please let us know if you’re coming by letting us know on Facebook, or ringing 01302 876272 and leaving us a message, ideally by the 23rd October.
Thanks and see you there!
If you’re interested in Alpha we’ve got some news! We’ve postponed the first session, it will now happen on the 29th September at 7.30pm. If you’re interested in coming email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) or ring us on 01302 876272.
See you there!
